Victory and Defeat in the Promised Land Judges 16:19-31

In the last two chapters we’ve seen Samson avenge himself, defend himself, tempt himself, and finally he has betrayed himself, by telling Deliah that if his hair is cut then all of his extraordinary strength would leave him, causing him to become like any other man. Samson at this point had toyed with sin so long that he no longer could tell the difference between friend or foe, who was really for him and who wanted to use him and destroy him.
