Giving is Worship
For the believer, regular tithing is not optional but an essential part of devotion to God as the Lord guides and provides. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, we see God loves a cheerful giver. He exhorts us to avoid giving by compulsion or an act of pressure.
Ultimately your offering is a matter between you and God, and each person should give according to what the Lord has purposed in their hearts.

Once you have established what you should give there are few ways that you can apply your offering at Calvary Chapel Breath of Life:
- Regular tithes: this is what you purpose to provide to God on a routine basis as an act of worship; giving back what He has blessed you with
- Special Offerings: this is above what you give on a regular basis and is provided to meet a special need for the furtherance of His work (i.e. a new work the church is engaged in)
- Giving Support: this is routine support for those engaged in the work of God abroad, such as missionaries
