Promise Keeper: The Book of Ezra; Ezra 5:1-17

The children of Judah having returned to Jerusalem started to rebuild their city beginning with the construction of an altar, this led to the re-institution of the burnt offerings and sacrifices, culminating in the people laying the foundation of the temple. But once word got it what the Jewish people were doing that’s when the opposition rose up, first using deception, and when that didn’t work threats.
