Christ Above All Else, Hebrews 12:1-2

We have come to chapter twelve of the book of Hebrews, and the writer of the letter is going to combine two themes to demonstrate a variety of important points. The themes are athletics and citizenship, as he speaks of races, training weights, arenas, weariness, tiredness, fans, cities, prizes, and endurance, all of which point to the believer finishing well what Lord and Savior has started in all of our lives.
