In Revelation 1:19 John is told “to write the things which he has seen and the
things which are, and the things which will take place after this”. By the time we
reach chapter four we have completed the first two charges > 1. The things which
you have seen points to “The glorified Christ” and 2. The things which are “is
the condition of the seven churches” so all that’s left is “the things which take
place after this”.
